De Facto
TV Series of thirteen Episodes of 30´half and hour each.
The Series that narrates the Argentine 20th century through its dictatorship presidents approached through interviews in which references from communication, law and history are consulted respectively about each of the 13 unconstitutional leaders who governed the country and the coups of State that preceded them. The testimonies are articulated with animated illustrations and digitally enhanced archival material

Animation in Episode 1: WE CAN´T GO BACK.
This animation is part of episode 1 of the series.Synopsis: Dr. Raúl Eugenio Zaffaroni, José Pablo Feinmann and Horacio Verbitsky place us in the social and political context prior to and during the first coup the State that occurred in Argentina on September 6, 1930 in which a group of soldiers led by the general José Félix Uriburu took over the government, overthrowing President Hipólito Yrigoyen.
Animations in Episode 2: OLIGARCHS DO NOT BUY FIELDS, THEY INHERIT THEM
Fernando Devoto explains the infamous decade and the 1943 coup that brought the second de facto president in history, Ramírez, to power. Feinmann then deals with Farrell's de facto presidency, during whose government Peronism begins to take shape. The intervened archive reconstructs the coup and the animated illustrations address the infamous decade and October 17.
Animations in Episode 3: A FIGHT IN THE MIRROR
Horacio Verbitsky gives an account, in the first part of the episode, of the relationship between the Catholic Church and the Argentine state and the struggle of the Catholic institution with Peronism. Cattaruzza then narrates the beginnings of the Peronist resistance within the framework of the Aramburu government. The illustrations are inspired by the bombings of 1955 and the executions of José León Suárez.
Animations in Episode 4: FACE WHAT CAME TO COME
Dr. Zaffaroni is interviewed about the coup d'état of '62 that overthrew Frondizi and about the particularity of José María Guido, who, being a civilian, senator for Río Negro, takes over as de facto president. Next, Eduardo Anguita is interviewed about the Coup of '66, the figure of Onganía, and the relationship of these events with those of '62.
Animations in Episode 5: THEY WERE OUT OF HISTORY
Isidoro Gilbert narrates that Levingston was as a military attaché in the United States when he was called from Argentina to come to take charge of the Presidency to replace Onganía. He was a total unknown to the local population. Lanusse will be addressed by Jorge L. Bernetti. Bernasconi's animated Illustrations show us this game of power.
Animations in Episode 6: THE PRICE OF NOT THINKING
Atilio Borón talks about the figure of Videla, the Coup of '76 and his relationship with the media. It also explains the importance of understanding the corporations and interests behind this subject. Eduardo Jozami then develops the change from Videla to Viola and talks about the role of the latter, as well as the operation of clandestine detention centers. Both stories are accompanied by archival material and allusive animated illustrations.
Animations in Episode 7: DANCED BY THIS POWER
Stella Calloni explains the figure of Galtieri and his connection with the Coup of '76, giving an account of the link that he had with the school of the Americas and the Condor plan, as well as with the Malvinas War. The failure in said war conflict leads to the replacement of Galtieri by Bignone, a character who will be addressed by Eduardo Aliverti, along with the Self-Amnesty Law and the transition to democracy with the triumph of Alfonsín.
Animations in Episode 8: THE WORLD BEGINS AGAIN
Six of the interviewees who made up the series appear to form a plural story about the axis “30 years of democracy”, based on how heterogeneous this period has been but underline the importance of a common point: the popular vote was never interrupted. Zaffaroni and Borón will be the guiding threads of the narrative, with visual, audiovisual, and radio archival material. At the same time, the speeches of Feinmann, Calloni, Gilbert and Jozami will appear about different current events.
